Uppena digital rights sold | Uppena is one small film that is high on expectations. Buchi Babu is making his directorial debut with this rustic love story and Vaishnav Tej, Krithi Shetty are the lead actors. The film was initially announced for summer release this year but it got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Uppena is now aimed for summer 2021 release and Devi Sri Prasad composed the music. Mythri Movie Makers are the producers.
The makers of the
film closed the digital rights of the film recently. Netflix acquired the
digital rights of Uppena for a record price of Rs 10 crores including all the
languages. The film will head for a theatrical release and the digital
streaming will take place soon after the completion of the theatrical release.
Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi is the lead antagonist in Uppena.
