NTR30 to roll very soon | Young Tiger NTR is completely occupied with the shoot of RRR that is delayed by a year. SS Rajamouli is the director and the shoot of the film is happening at a fast pace. NTR took a New Year break and returned back to the city this morning along with his family members. Top director Trivikram met NTR in his residence and wished him a Happy New Year. Trivikram will direct NTR’s next film that will have its official launch in February.

 

The regular shoot commences in March and the film’s release date would be finalized once the release date of RRR gets finalized. There are strong talks that Rashmika Mandanna will romance NTR in this family entertainer. Thaman is on board as the music director and Haarika and Hassinee Creations, NTR Arts are the producers. The film will be made on a big-budget.

Nani’s V opens to pathetic theatrical occupancy | Natural Star Nani’s last movie V had a digital release as the theatres are shut due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The film’s response has been poor and below average. With theatres reopened all over, V released in theatres yesterday marking the New Year. Leaving many in deep shock, the response for the film is quite low and the occupancy on day one across Telugu states is shocking. The film opened to 25 percent occupancy which is quite disappointing.

 

The film will struggle to recover the digital charges in most of the districts revealed a distributor. Nani’s V is directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti and it featured Nani, Sudheer Babu, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nivetha Thomas in the lead roles. Dil Raju produced V on Sri Venkateswara Creations. Nani completed the shoot of Tuck Jagadish and he is shooting currently for Shyam Singha Roy in the direction of Rahul Sankrityan.

King Nagarjuna did not score a hit in the recent years. His theatrical market tumbled down and he completed the shoot of his next film Wild Dog recently. Solomon is the director and Dia Mirza is the leading lady. The entire shooting portions and the post-production work of Wild Dog got completed recently. The filmmakers inked a deal with Netflix recently but an official announcement was never made.

 

As per the update coming, the digital streaming rights of Wild Dog are picked up for a record price of Rs 37 crores including all the languages. Nagarjuna will be seen as an NIA cop in this action thriller. Some Hollywood technicians worked for Wild Dog. Matinee Entertainments are the producers and the film starts streaming on January 26th marking the Republic Day.

Kareema has been suffering from age-related ailments for some time and she passed away today.

 

AR Rahman will perform the last rites of Kareema Begum this evening in Chennai. Condolences are poured in for AR Rahman on his loss. AR Rahman was raised by his mother when his father passed away at the age of 9 years. When Rahman was 23, the entire family took up Islam and they changed their names. Rest in peace Kareema Begum.

His next film Master was initially aimed for summer release but it got pushed because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Though the makers received interesting digital deals, Vijay wanted to go with a theatrical release for the movie. Vijay’s Master is now hitting the screens on January 13th in Tamil and Telugu languages.

 

Vijay met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister EK Palanisamy at his Chennai residence today and requested him to help the government for the release of Master. Vijay requested the government to grant 100 percent occupancy for theatres during the Sankranthi season. The Centre granted 50 percent occupancy permission for patrons in Indian screens. Master is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and the film features Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan in the other lead roles.
