AR Rahman’s mother passed away | Indian top music composer AR Rahman is the highest-paid music directors of Indian cinema. He is busy composing the music for several International projects and he is the recipient of the prestigious Oscar award. His mother Kareema Begum breathed his last this morning in Chennai. Kareema has been suffering from age-related ailments for some time and she passed away today.
AR Rahman will
perform the last rites of Kareema Begum this evening in Chennai. Condolences
are poured in for AR Rahman on his loss. AR Rahman was raised by his mother
when his father passed away at the age of 9 years. When Rahman was 23, the
entire family took up Islam and they changed their names. Rest in peace Kareema
Begum.
